The banished royals are making a movie about their lives! Or are they? As of last Monday morning, the duke & duchess of Sussex’s media production company, signed a contract to bring to netflix’s wide array of movies, another one that’s quite similar to their lives!
A Sussex Surprise!
Booktok’s favourite author Carley Fortune, author of the viral 2022 Every Summer After, took to instagram to break the news, citing “I’m thrilled to confirm that I’m teaming up with Netflix and Archewell productions on the adaptation of Meet Me at the Lake,” she continued. “Will and Fern’s love story is dear to my heart, and I can’t imagine a more perfect partnership. Writing this book was a tremendous personal challenge, and to see it recognized in this way is truly incredible.”
This movie is pegged by many to be an informal representation of the duke & duchess’ lives, as the novel deals with heavy topics such as parental losses, infamous to the duke himself and postpartum struggles infamous to the duchess.
The Sussex’s Involvement
Just how involved the duke & duchess are beyond their production in the upcoming movie is unknown at this time, but we hope to see more of them soon!!
