It’s time to BeReal (now, with your favourite audio from Spotify).
Earlier this month, Spotify rolled out its integration with BeReal to users in UAE/ KSA/ Egypt and other countries across the MENA region. Now, when you use BeReal, you can also include what you’re listening – bringing another layer of authenticity and connection to your BeReal moment while simultaneously breathing life into your moments. Wouldn’t you want your BeReal to have your favourite song playing in the background?
Here’s how The Spotify-BeReal combo works:
- Connect your Spotify and BeReal accounts. There are two ways to do this. Eligible users—or even soon-to-be-users—can do this by tapping on the music icon that’s shown before posting their BeReal.
- Otherwise, within the BeReal app, navigate to “Settings,” then “Music” and follow the prompts to connect to Spotify.
- Once you’ve connected your accounts, we’ll automatically pull in the song or podcast that you’re listening to on Spotify at the time you capture a BeReal.
- You will see the cover art of the audio you’re listening to at the bottom of your camera lens.
The synthesis is merely another way of music being brought to more people in more ways – helping fans, artists and communities find new ways to connect through audio and music around the world. Users on Android and iOS can access this experience as it rolls out, so no one has any excuses!
The integration is now live across Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, UAE, Iraq, and Libya. Wherever you are from, both platforms have made sure that you get to live the experience!
