Interviewing Instagram’s Favorite Couple – Aya and Yasser

Booming on social media recently after their engagement, Aya and Yasser are many teenagers’ favorite couple right now. Basically,  We’re living our perfect relationship dreams through them. Following the newly-engaged couple’s success, we decided to interview them and get to know more about the lovebirds!

Aya and Yasser met through a mutual friend during a concert, which developed into several meet-ups after, leading to a best-friend type relationship at the beginning that slowly turned into a romantic one.

We asked them if/how the negative comments and hate affect them, to which Yasser mentioned that he doesn’t always read comments since he’s usually at work or shooting something.  Meanwhile, Aya said that negative comments still get to her, but recently she’s started deleting or blocking them instead of answering.

They also mentioned some inaccurate assumptions fans have made about them as a couple. Some fans think Aya’s parents didn’t know about their relationship from the beginning or that she and Yasser never fight and have a perfect relationship. Aya stated that their fights actually bring them closer because they can healthily communicate through them. Other people think that they’re exploiting their relationship to get views and likes. However, the couple replied saying they truly enjoy shooting content and really are together most of the time. Aya even stated, “If we had a private account we would’ve posted the exact same content.” (Which, we find absolutely adorable.)

Aside from relationship talk, there was a series of fun questions we’d lined up for them as well. The first being “What was something you thought was cool when you were younger, but don’t think it is now?”. Aya laughed and told us that she had an emo phase, and even faked being “dark” and depressed. For Yasser, it was capri pants (pantacores) and sandals. Us too, Yasser, us too.

Our second question was, “If the house was on fire and you could only save one thing, what would it be?”. Yasser said he’d save his phone charger while Aya would save her makeup.

Finally, If they could shop from one store for free, Aya would choose Zara and Yasser would choose Virgin Megastore to shop from. Both great answers, unfortunately not free.

We also played would you rather, and got some opposing answers.  Yasser would rather speak every foreign language out there so he can communicate with different cultures, while Aya would rather talk to animals to understand how they feel. Then, we asked them if they’d rather listen to one song or watch one movie for the rest of their life. Yasser chose to watch one movie, but Aya chose to listen to one song. However, when asked if they’d rather only go out at night or only during the day, they both agreed on the night time answer. Wise choice, I agree.

As you can see, Aya and Yasser have different opinions on many matters, and that’s why they complete each other. I guess it’s true that opposites do attract. Being somewhat different from your partner can make your relationship more exciting and fulfilling. You might get the chance to look at things in a new perspective, or experience things you wouldn’t have tried on your own. As long as both partners are willing to make a commitment to the other person and give them their time and energy, then your relationship has a solid foundation already. Being in a relationship doesn’t mean giving up who you are, but rather bringing out the best in each other. Congrats to Aya and Yasser, who definitely bring out the best in each other!
