Hi! My name is Mido Barsoum and I am a food blogger, food photographer, home chef, and a social media marketing consultant. If you are interested to become any of these or all of them combined, then let me tell you how a typical day goes in the life of Mido.
Like most of us, my mobile phone is my most prized possession when it comes to
productivity. As soon as I wake up in the morning, I need to grab by phone and check all my
communication platforms; Missed Calls, SMS, WhatsApp, Email, Facebook, Instagram, …etc.
Each and every one of these platforms will have at least 10 to 20 notifications to be checked
and responded to… And this does not really stop throughout the day. Today, I had to wake up at 8:00 AM to go to a shoot on the other side of town. Shooting is very labor-intensive. We hardly had time to sit down or eat or drink and we finished at 9:00 PM. During the 11 hours of shooting, I was making calls with and replying to my clients on the social media consultancy side of my multi-faceted career life.
After the shoot, I had to quickly get back home to unpack all of the food leftovers and photography equipment, shower, and get dressed to go out again to an opening of a new restaurant that I was invited to. I took some nice photos and posted some cool stories about the food and the general atmosphere of the place, which is considered very valuable content for my followers on the food blog. The day started at 8:00 AM and ended at 1:00 AM, but quite frankly I enjoyed each and every moment of it. I do what I love to do and sometimes I don’t get enough sleep and body aches, but the passion makes me hardly realize that I am actually working.
