The Summer I Turned Pretty I don’t know about you, but I’ve been anxiously waiting for The Summer I Turned Pretty season two to drop. Jenny Han has surprised us once again by turning another book of hers into a live-action.
We’ve seen snippets from the set over the past couple of months, and let’s just say we have very high expectations, and way too many questions running through our heads about what’s yet to come.
New Season: New Characters!
One of the most engrossing things that we’ve noticed is a couple of new characters on set. Elsie Fisher and Kyra Sedgwick are joining the cast, however details about their characters are being kept under a tight wrap, but it’s quite intriguing to guess how their roles will affect the show. We can’t wait to see how these stars will amaze us with their incredible talent!
The Fun Stuff
I’m sure we’ve all heard the famous Belly quote “He didn’t give me flowers or candy. He gave me the moon and the stars. Infinity.” Originally, she said that about Conrad, as in the book they supposedly end up together, but rumour has it that the author can change the ending, which let’s be real is spine-chilling.
The internet is flooded with arguments about which of the Fisher brothers the fans prefer, whether it is Jeremiah the golden retriever, or Conrad the mysterious playboy. Not gonna lie though, both Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney are eating up their roles and living up to everyone’s dreams.
Soundtracks
Obviously, we can’t forget the various artists who added some spice to the show during the first season, like Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Jake Harlowe, and more! And of course, the queen herself, Taylor Swift. We cannot deny that her music added that summerly vibe to the show with six tracks, one of which was not yet released. I’m on pins and needles waiting to sing along to the hits coming out with the upcoming season!
Mark your calendars for July 14 when the summer really starts when this masterpiece comes out. Whether you’re on team Conrad or team Jeremiah, get ready to be amazed, I’m definitely on Conrad’s team though, I’m genuinely curious about whom you prefer, let us know!
