Starting today, you can watch the much-anticipated film The Back Row on Netflix! Directed by Sherif Mohsen and produced by Victoria Film, this movie has been making headlines in the film industry. It recently competed in the 24th Rotterdam Arab Film Festival and won two prestigious awards at the 39th Alexandria Mediterranean Countries Film Festival: Best Film and Best Script.


The Back Row boasts a talented cast, including Bayoumi Fouad, Tayam Amar, Yasser El Tobgy, Mohamed Abdel Azim, Amgad Abed, and Nora Abdel Rahman. The film tells the compelling story of a naive young man who undergoes a life-changing one-day journey that challenges and transforms his understanding of the world. Victoria Film, the production company behind this captivating movie, was established by Sherif Mohsen in 2017. The company is dedicated to producing unique and innovative films that offer fresh and artistic perspectives on life. In 2019, Victoria Film produced its first short film, Light Blue, which was showcased at the Shanghai Short Film Festival in 2021, the Cairo Shorts Film Festival, and the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) in 2022.

Following that, they released the feature film A Day in Cairo in 2020 and the documentary Echo, which documents the 11-day war in Gaza and received a Special Mention at the Asia South East Short Film Festival.
