The Ultimate Guide to Dubai’s October Fun

October in Dubai means cooler weather, outdoor dining, and tons of exciting events. After a hot summer, the city is buzzing with activities perfect for families, foodies, and anyone looking to have a good time.

Fighting Breast Cancer with Fun

One of the biggest events this month is IGNITE Pink is Punk, a series of activities that raise money for breast cancer research. Since 2008, this event has collected over 860,000 dirhams to help people fighting breast cancer. This year features three awesome events that anyone can join.

On October 11th, you can participate in the Pink is Punk Swim:Run at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. If you prefer something more relaxing, there’s a Moonlit Yoga session on October 13th at RIVA Beach Dubai. For adventure lovers, the Pink Paddle event on October 18th lets you try stand up paddleboarding while supporting an important cause. All the money raised goes directly to Al Jalila Foundation to help with cancer treatment and research.

October Sunday Fun for Kids

Parents looking for weekend activities will love what Uptown Social is offering. Every Sunday from 10am to 3pm, kids can create their own pancake masterpieces. For just 35 dirhams, children get three fluffy pancakes and a variety of toppings including berries, colorful whipped cream, crunchy nuts, and maple syrup. It’s the perfect combination of breakfast and arts and crafts.

New Restaurant Alert

Dubai has a fresh Mexican spot that’s quickly becoming a local favorite. El Moreno Taqueria opened earlier this year in Nad Al Sheba, and it’s already making waves. The restaurant was started by 23 year old chef Janishq Munge, who grew up in Dubai and wanted to bring authentic Mexican food to the city.

The menu focuses on real Mexican classics without any fancy additions. You can try small plates like Queso Fundido and House Guacamole, or dive into their main attraction: tacos. Popular choices include Carne Asada, Pollo Asado, and a unique Quesabirria. On weekends, they also serve fresh ceviche.

Brunch Is Back

Jones the Grocer is bringing back their popular Sundown Brunch starting October 10th. Every Friday evening from 7pm to 10:30pm, guests can enjoy a buffet dinner at the Hilton Dubai Palm West Beach location. The brunch includes unlimited drinks, a live DJ, and incredible views of Dubai Marina and Bluewater’s Island. It’s the perfect way to start your weekend with friends or family.

Costume Contests and Prizes

Replay is hosting a Dead Popstar Halloween Party on October 31st from 6pm to 3am. Come dressed as your favorite late music icon like Elvis, Whitney Houston, or Prince, and sing karaoke all night. The best dressed guest wins a private karaoke room for six people plus a bottle of sparkling wine. There’s also a buy one get one free deal on prosecco and their cocktail of the week.
