5 Arab designers releasing their new lines predominating Paris fashion week

Here is a list of our extravagant Arab designers who are killing it at Paris fashion week by contributing and showcasing their talent!

Tony Ward

he attended Paris, France’s Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. He collaborated with  Karl Lagerfeld at Chloé, Claude Montana at Lanvin, Gianfranco Ferré at Dior, and finally on his label, Tony Ward Couture, after studying couture design. Ward turned his father’s 1952-founded fashion firm into a worldwide brand for his family. The designer is known for his extravagant designs and bridal wear collections. The Aelia Eudocia collection by Tony Ward Couture for Spring Summer 2017 was unveiled this season on January 23 in Paris at the L’Oratoire du Louvre as part of Haute Couture Week.

The result of their laborious toil within the manufacturing facilities was a partnership of highly trained artists and producers. They created original textiles and embroideries, created novel cuts and volumes. They employed unique stitching processes that are only mastered by a small number of Parisian Couture ateliers—a value-added that is now hardly utilized. In the Tony Ward ateliers, more than 200 people have contributed their remarkable talents to create this line of clothing, which is one of a kind.

He was born and raised in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor. Al Ali became took an interest in fashion at a very young age. He majored in visual communications which inspired him to discover new areas like graphic design. Al Ali’s fashion show displayed a runway show for his senior graduating presentation.

The next destination for Rami Al Ali was the United Arab Emirates, where the Rami Al Ali Couture name was established in 2001. Rami reflected on his Syrian roots while conjuring a mystical aura of nostalgia. The designer Al Ali’s spring/summer 2021 luxury collection is inspired by the undying beauty of a night in Damascus. his line consisted of a total of 18 pieces that were expertly coordinated to represent his vision for the season.

Georges Hobeika

He is a Lebanese fashion designer who creates both casual and haute couture garments. Hobeika’s initial studio is in Beirut, Lebanon, and for more than ten years he has amazed fashion critics with his creations during Paris’ official fashion weeks. Hobeika now owns and runs his clothing brand, which consists of four lines:  Georges Hobeika Bridal, Georges Hobeika Signature, Georges Hobeika Couture, and GH by Georges Hobeika, Georges Hobeika runs the clothing line out of his atelier base in Beirut and his boutique located on rue Royale in Paris.

Zuhair Murad: The Lebanese Designer Icon

Zuhair Murad s a fashion designer from  Ras Baalbek, Lebanon. Murad relocated to Paris soon after graduating from high school and then completed his studies in design. Presenting a line that earned him a spot in the Italian calendar, Murad made his debut on the Rome runways in 1999.  The designer’s collections include jewellery and couture clothing. Two stores are currently operational, one on Charles Helou Avenue in Beirut and the other on Rue François I in Paris. Both stores include displays.

Located in the Via Borgogna in Milan, he additionally runs an exhibit space. With secrets, sensuality, and laughter Zuhair Murad’s Spring-Summer 2023 Couture line(exhibited in Paris fashion week) reflects the liberty of those days in azure and gold. Elie Saab

Elie Saab a fashion designer from Lebanon. He has secondary seminars in Milan and Paris and his primary studio in Lebanon. He established his company in the early 1980s and focused on creating wedding couture (fancy materials, pearls, gemstones, lace, Swarovski crystals, intricate stitching, etc.).He is the very first Lebanese to be permitted to the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, which oversees the fashion industry. On Project Runway: Middle East in 2016, Saab made an appearance as a judge. 

As of March 2017, his ready-to-wear clothing was sold in 160 stores as well as his personal shops, and his luxurious creations could be found in Paris, London, and Beirut. Saab outfitted an individual of the British royal family for a single occasion when Kate Middleton wore one at the Royal Ascot in 2019.
